After the summer break, we are excited to resume our member highlights and explore new business practices by visiting them and observing their daily operations.
On August 28, you are invited to join the Chamber’s organized regional visit to Schwenk Latvia and its cement plant in Brocēni.
By continuously investing in cutting-edge technology, Brocēni cement plant is among the most advanced in Europe.

SCHWENK Latvija is the sole cement producer in Latvia and one of the top building materials producers in the country. It offers high-quality cement, aggregates, and ready-mix concrete to its customers. The company is a part of the SCHWENK Building Materials Group, which is headquartered in Ulm, Germany. SCHWENK Latvija directly employs 360 people and provides work for over 650 subcontractors’ employees across the value chain. As a family-owned company in its sixth generation, it is conscious of its responsibility towards people, nature, the environment, and the climate. It prioritizes the sustainability of the building materials and looks ahead to future generations.
The cement plant in Broceni is one of the most advanced in Europe and, through continuous investment, the company strives towards climate-neutral cement production.
